Jack's Journey to Journalism

Jack the jackrabbit had always been curious about everything happening in his school. He loved asking questions and finding out new things.

One day, Ms. Owl announced that the school was starting a newspaper. "We need students to be reporters," she said.

Jack's ears perked up. This sounded like the perfect job for him!

He raised his paw high in the air. "I'd like to be a reporter!" he said enthusiastically.

Ms. Owl smiled. "Great, Jack! Your first assignment is to write about something interesting in our school."

Jack was excited but also a little nervous. What should he write about?

He decided to start by observing things around the school. He watched his classmates in the playground, listened to conversations in the cafeteria, and paid attention in class.

Suddenly, he noticed something interesting. The school's vegetable garden looked different. The plants seemed bigger and healthier than before.

Jack decided to investigate. He talked to Eva the elephant, who was in charge of the garden.

"We've been using a new type of compost," Eva explained. "It's made from leftover food from the cafeteria!"

Jack was fascinated. He asked more questions about how the compost was made and how it helped the plants grow.

He took careful notes and even drew some pictures of the garden.

Then, Jack sat down to write his article. He wanted to make sure it was interesting and easy to understand.

He wrote about how the school was turning food waste into something useful, and how it was helping the environment.

When he finished, Jack gave his article to Ms. Owl. He felt nervous as she read it.

Finally, Ms. Owl looked up with a big smile. "This is excellent, Jack! You've done a great job of explaining something complex in a simple way."

Jack's article was published in the first issue of the school newspaper. Everyone was talking about it!

His classmates were amazed to learn about the garden and the compost. Some even volunteered to help with the composting process.

Jack felt proud. He had not only written a good article but had also helped make a positive change in his school.

From that day on, Jack continued to write for the school newspaper. He discovered that being a journalist was about more than just reporting news.

It was about asking questions, learning new things, and sharing important information with others.

As he hopped home that day, Jack's mind was full of ideas for his next article. He couldn't wait to see what other stories he would uncover in his school!
